This if an information from OM Huy de XV2B (VARC secretary).
It seems that some unidentified stations (pirates) are operating CW and digimodes (PSK31 and JT65) with unauthorized and illegal callsigns. Of course these will not be valid for any award or diploma.
In recent days, there are some CW-JT65-PSK31 activities on radio amateur band with unknown 3W callsign.
– The ship callsign: 3Wxx without the zone number.
– Illegal callsign: 3W0xxx, zone zero is not use.
– Fake callsign (?): received on zone 1-2 not 3.
– Fake callsign (!): not authorized from owner (XVxx).
Please attention.
Next week-end will see participants from all over the world run in the AA DX Contest organized by JARL. You can expect stations from Vietnam to be active like last years.
As always, XV1X should be the major station. Also listen to XV4Y on 10m and 80m as he may have some spare time for a few QSOs.
Reijo seems active from Saïgon and heavily spotted on the DXcluster. Enjoy DX with him!
HB9DST/AA1MI team organizing 3W6C expedition is looking for an experimented CW operator. Please contact them at hb9bxe_arobasecharacter_3w6c.qrv.ch (do replace _arobasecharacter_ by the @ sign).
