The 5 cubesats onboard ISS have been released as expected on October 4th after the delayed related to ATV-3 undocking. On this picture you can see 3 of them including F-1 just after they left the Kibo module being pulled away from the airlock by the japanese robotic arm.

F-1 cubesat deployement expected on September 10th
According to JAXA news, 5 CubeSats currently onboard the ISS, including F-1, are scheduled to be deployed into space on Monday, 10 September, at 13h00 UTC. Actual time may vary depends on ISS activities.

F-1 now flying on its way to the ISS
The H-IIB has successfully launched the HTV-3 vehicle. The encounter with the ISS is planned for july 27th. F-1 cubesat will be started and put into orbit later in september, no exact date given yet. More details about F-1 in Viêt-Nam here. On JAXA website more pictures and videos.

The first vietnamese cubesat has been integrated to the HTV-3 vehicle and then to its H-II launcher. It will be soon ready for launch. More details and pictures here on the FSpace blog.

The F-1 cubesat has been delivered to the JAXA and is now waiting for its integration in the HTV-3 mission payload. More details and pictures are here.
Successful test for F-1 cubesat
Thu XV9AA informed us that last week-end his team successfully completed on ground long range communication tests with the F-1 bird. The project team is now undergoing the cubesat safety review to confirm its launch by an HTV cargo in late July.
First vietnam sat F-1 to be launched in July 2012
Along 4 other cubesats, the first ever Vietnam designed and built satellite will be launched from the ISS between July 18th – 21st this year. It will be sent via the japanese HTV cargo vehicle. More infos to come…

F1 vietnamese radioamateur satellite is on his way
Thu, XV9AA, has unveiled vietnamese enthusiasts plan to launch the first vietnamese radioamateur satellite. the F-1 Cubesat satellite should be finished in 2011 and ready for launch once financing and launch vehicle finding are completed. The spacecraft will have a V/U mode for AFSK data, 1200bps and CW AFSK beacon, and experimental link with COTS transceiver.
